Round Table Meetings on Opportunities for India – EU GNSS Industrial Collaboration

The GNSS.asia India team has successfully organised two Round Table Meetings on Opportunities for India – EU GNSS Industrial Collaboration. The events were conducted on 17th March 2015 at The Park, Kolkata and on 19th March at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Bhubaneswar.

Both events were aimed at getting detailed insight on the GNSS market in India and raising awareness on the services offered by the GNSS.asia project platform in establishing partnerships between the EU and India. The conferences focused on GNSS applications for surveying & mining, which are set to play a crucial role in the eastern part of India.

The Round Tables successfully brought together industrial, institutional and academic players to discuss insights on the current opportunities for GNSS downstream co-operation. Representatives from GNSS.asia and local industry presented a varied set of presentations, touching upon topics such as the local GNSS industry landscape, the potential for EGNSS in specific application areas and opportunities for EU-India industry collaboration.
