EU-ASEAN Workshop by GNSS.asia on using EU Space Data for Emergency & Maritime Applications in ASEAN
On 25-26 March, GNSS.asia is organising the EU-ASEAN Workshop on using EU Space Data for Emergency & Maritime Applications in ASEAN. The event has much to offer, including inspiring keynotes, plenary sessions, informative workshops, and targeted 1:1 meetings.
A particular focus will be placed on the role of the European GNSS technologies Galileo and EGNOS as well as Copernicus, Europe’s Earth Observation programme, in maritime and emergency applications. For example, maritime vessels use EO applications to optimise their itinerary, tracked by AIS-receivers whilst relying on GNSS navigation data to cross the ocean. In case of an emergency, GNSS-based Search-and-Rescue (SAR) services ensure the relaying of distress messages and the accurate localisation of ships in need.
The event is organised in cooperation with the Geo-Informatics and Space Technology Development Agency (GISTDA), ASEAN Research and Training Centre for Space Technology and Applications (ARTSA), and Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation of Thailand.
At the event, you will get the chance to request 1:1 meetings with other participants, send personal messages, showcase your product or service through a dedicated market place, search for partners, extend your network to the space community in Southeast Asia or Europe and learn the very latest from EU Space Data for Emergency & Maritime Applications in ASEAN!
