Galileo & Smart RTK Hackathon on 26-27 August 2019 in Bangkok
As part of the Thai Space Week 2019, GNSS.asia and GISTDA are organising a Galileo & Smart RTK Hackathon on 26-27 August 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. It will take place back-to-back with two other exciting events – the MGA Conference and the Thai Space Week 2019.
The competition targets to challenge 60-80 participants with the task to develop a creative solution for one of the suggested topics such as transportation, smart agriculture, and social quality. For their solution, the teams need to use Galileo and/or GISTDA’s smart RTK solution.
The output will be evaluated by a panel of judges based on several criteria, including innovation, Galileo- or RTK-relevance, as well as completion level. In addition, a team of mentors from GISTDA, the European Commission, GNSS.asia and the private sector will offer their expertise in GNSS, entrepreneurship, access to finance and application development to provide teams with invaluable mentorship support and guidance.
Teams will compete for three major awards: “Best Innovation Prize”, “Galileo Prize”, and “GNSS RTK Prize”. Participation is open and free of charge, on a first come, first served basis. Food and beverages will be provided. Travel expenses (including accommodation, flights, train tickets, visa applications and so forth) will be fully borne by participants.
We look forward to welcome balanced teams with a diversity of profiles and backgrounds (e.g. GNSS experts, GIS-geeks, back-end developers, entrepreneurs, industry specialists and so forth). Teams consist of 3 to 5 members. The pre-selections are open NOW!
