GNSS.asia at 2018 UP³ to Space International Symposium
On 7-9 November 2018, GNSS.asia joined the 2018 UP³ to Space International Symposium in Taiwan. The Symposium was organised by National Cheng Kong University and supported by Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), National Space Organisation (NSPO), National Applied Research Labs (NARLabs), ODYSSEUS, GranSystems, and Liscotech. The 3-day event invited international and Taiwanese speakers to share their new research outcomes and business insights in the space technology and industry. Three main topics of the symposium were: 1. Space technology, applications and services, 2. Taiwan and Global Space Governance, 3. Incubating Taiwan’s Space Tech SMEs toward the Global Space Economy.
GNSS.asia Taiwan presented “Opportunities for EU-Taiwan Industrial Cooperation in GNSS Sectors” at the Space and Industry Sessions. Mr Petr HAVLIK, European External Action Service (EEAS), European Union presented “EU’s Space Policy, Programs and Strategy” and “EU Space Security” in the Symposium. Galileo programme and GNSS.asia project were introduced to the participants. Mr Giuseppe Izzo from STMicroelectronics also shared the latest business trends on space industry. GNSS.asia also had a booth to present Galileo, and distributed brochures about Galileo and EGNOS.
