Market insights are required for Australia’s Multi-GNSS adoption

Geoscience Australia and its partners are looking for market feedback in order to make precise positioning using Multi-GNSS more accessible in Australasia.

Geoscience Australia together with Frontier SI, Positioning Insights, and Curtin University are striving to deliver precise positioning capability for Australian businesses through the Positioning Australia programme.

This program is aimed at maximising the value of GNSS by establishing the necessary ground infrastructure to track, verify, optimise, and deliver a precise positioning capability with the end goal of enabling the wider adoption of precise positioning information.

Positioning Australia will create a capacity for multiple GNSS signals to be received by both building new ground stations and integrating existing stations. Additionally, a GNSS data analytics capability will be established to verify and correct positioning signals for users.

In order to gather advice from industry on current needs and future demand and tailor the delivery of world class services for GNSS to the users, an outreach questionnaire has been published. Geoscience Australia is looking for input from organisations that rely on precise location data. Since New Zealand and Australia have been cooperating in the GNSS domain, New Zealand will be able to benefit from this program and the survey as well.

You rely on precise location data and would like to support Multi-GNSS?

Join the call of Positioning Australia and fill in the outreach questionnaire
